Maverick joined the Rolston Lab in Spring 2026 through the Fulton Undergraduate Research Initiative (FURI). His research explores the thermal stability and degradation of commercial lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries under elevated temperatures, focusing on reliable performance in Arizona’s extreme heat and semiconductor applications. When not in the lab, Maverick is busy catching giant fish, stargazing from tents, and catching more giant fish.
