Emily Carrillo Munoz ([email protected])
Undergraduate Student in Aerospace Engineering (Aeronautics)
School for Engineering of Matter, Transport, and Energy (SEMTE)
Emily is a sophomore studying aerospace engineering at Arizona State University. She joined the Rolston Lab in Fall 2025 through the Fulton Undergraduate Research Initiative (FURI). Her research focuses on quantifying fracture energy and understanding the mechanical behavior of metal halide perovskites using mode I and mode II testing to investigate edge debonding and material failure. She is passionate about making materials stronger and more reliable for renewable energy and semiconductor applications. Outside of the lab, Emily enjoys sewing, playing tennis, and spending time with friends and family.
