Adithi Challapalli
SURI Virtual Intern 2026
Undergraduate Student in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
Indian Institute of Technology, MadrasĀ

Adithi is working on the computational screening of both halide and halide-free antiperovskite solid-state electrolytes. Her goal is to identify moisture-stable, highly conductive candidates to power next-generation lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries.

At IIT Madras, she is conducting research on nanoplasmonics and has previously worked on Si-C composite anodes for Li-ion batteries. She also served as a UN Millennium Fellow, where she worked to make Scratch programming accessible to unaided schools in India. She has been awarded the Satish Pai Award for the highest GPA in her class. Outside of research, she enjoys singing, sketching portraits, badminton, and photography!
