Lakshmi Sowjanya Vendra
M.S. Student, Computer Engineering (Electrical Engineering)
School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering (ECEE)
B.Tech. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Electronics & Communication Engineering (2024)
Lakshmi is a graduate student in the Computer Engineering (EE) program at Arizona State University, with hands-on experience in semiconductor packaging, ASIC/FPGA design, PCB validation, and control systems. Her academic and project work includes ASIC RTL-to-GDSII design with Cadence Innovus, System Verilog verification of digital modules, custom test fixture design for PCB validation, and PLC-based motor drive control systems. She is especially interested in bridging hardware design, automation, and data-driven approaches to solve challenges in electronics and clean energy systems. She has gained practical experience through internships at Ingersoll Rand, Bharat Electronics Limited, and BSNL, where she worked on microcontroller-based system validation, signal processing logic design, and telecom infrastructure analysis. Lakshmi is passionate about research and development that combines circuit design, power distribution, and reliability testing with real-world applications.
Outside of the lab, Lakshmi enjoys camping, gardening and exploring new experiences that inspire creativity and curiosity. She aspires to integrate the precision of an engineer, the innovation of a researcher, and the curiosity of an explorer in her professional journey.
